Why it matters:
The Atonement of Jesus Christ is key doctrine within the Church. It is through the Atonement of Christ that we are able to return to live with Heavenly Father. It is through the Atonement that we can receive perfect, resurrected bodies. It is through the Atonement that we can be made clean of our sins, and not just that, we can also become more refined servants of God. The Atonement can purge us of our weaknesses and heal us of our wounds. I am grateful for the very real power of the Atonement in my life.
